Raspadori and Berardi in Napoli’s Sights
Napoli will be parting with important players this summer. As a consequence, the club is looking to persuade Giacomo Raspadori and Domenico Berardi this summer.
Next season, Napoli will be without captain Lorenzo Insigne. The left-winger is joining MLS club FC Toronto. Likely, Dries Mertens also is set to depart the club once his contract ends once the season is done.
Italian sports publication Corriere Dello Sport reports that Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis working to rejuvenate its attacking department in view of next season.
According to the publication, there is a strong interest in one of Sassuolo’s best players, Giacomo Raspadori. The attacking midfielder is 21-years-old. This season he has scored seven goals and provided 4 assists for Sassuolo.
The club itself has impressed in previous campaigns. They are currently in 11th place. Several of their squad members have been included in the Italian squad in recent years.
Domenico Berardi, perhaps Sassuolo’s most famous player, is also on Napoli’s radar. Berardi, a regular starter for Italy, currently has a market value of at least 35 million Euro according to Transfermarkt.
Napoli sports director Cristiano Giuntoli, is also monitoring another talent from Serie A. It is Nedim Bajrami, the attacking midfielder that Sassuolo tried to transfer from Empoli back in January.
