Predicted Lineups for Juventus – Napoli in Supercoppa Italiana
Napoli is set to meet champions Juventus today in the Italian Super Cup. Here are the predicted line-ups ahead of tonight’s derby.
The match is a reiteration of last year’s Coppa Italia final. Napoli came out on top in that encounter after a dramatic penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Alex Meret proved to be Gli Azzuri’s hero on that night, saving two penalties.
Meret, however, is unlike to start tonight with David Ospina having won his place in the starting lineup in recent weeks. Napoli’s first 11 is most likely to consist of:
Napoli: Ospina; Di Lorenzo, Manolas, Koulibaly, Rui; Bakayoko, Ruiz; Lozano, Zielinski, Insigne; Petagna
Meanwhile, Juventus approach this match following a disappointing display and result against Inter Milan. Despite the 2-0 defeat, manager Andrea Pirlo is unlikely to make many changes to his team’s starting line-up.
Juventus: Szczesny; Danilo, Demiral, Bonucci, Frabotta; Bernardeschi, Rabiot, Bentancur, Chiesa; Morata, Ronaldo
Both teams will be anxious to get their hands on the trophy. The rivalry between Napoli and Juventus is at an all-time high this year after, initially. The Partenopei were handed a 3-0 defeat and were penalized one point after the team failed to play against Juventus earlier in the season.
Recently CONI decided that Napoli was unable to attend the game due to several players being infected with Covid-19. This has caused many inside the clubs to comment on the matter and it is expected that the game tonight could be a hotly disputed one indeed.
