No More Patience: Napoli Players on the Way Out This Winter Transfer Window

As January approaches, Napoli is laying the groundwork for some significant changes to its squad. While the team has had a strong start to the season and remains a contender for the Scudetto, there’s room for improvement, particularly in maximizing the squad’s potential.

Antonio Conte sees the winter transfer window as the perfect opportunity to bring in reinforcements while moving on players who have struggled for game time.

The primary focus will be on bolstering the defense, especially after Alessandro Buongiorno’s injury exposed a lack of depth. Napoli is determined to address this gap and ensure the backline is solid for the second half of the season.

Defensive Upgrades Take Priority

Juventus’ Danilo is high on the list for Napoli. His adaptability to play as a center-back or full-back makes him a valuable asset, and Conte is reportedly keen on the Brazilian. However, negotiations with Juventus have been challenging, forcing the club to consider alternatives like Luiz Felipe, a free agent who could bring experience and affordability. Yet, there are concerns about Felipe’s fitness, making this a gamble.

Reshaping the Midfield and Flanks

Napoli’s plans hinge on creating roster space, which means departures are inevitable. Midfielder Folorunsho could be on his way to Fiorentina, who are looking for reinforcements following Edoardo Bove’s injury. If Folorunsho leaves, Napoli might target Juventus’ Nicolò Fagioli, adding fresh energy to the midfield.

Additionally, forward Giacomo Raspadori, who has fallen out of favor, could be used as leverage in negotiations with the Turin club.

The left flank may also see changes. A potential move for Cristiano Biraghi is on the table, especially if Leonardo Spinazzola departs. Though a swap deal involving the Fiorentina defender has been suggested, Spinazzola remains reluctant to make the switch.

Napoli is also considering offloading center-back Rafa Marín, with Como reportedly interested. These moves, coupled with the planned arrivals, could give Napoli the depth and quality needed to mount a serious title challenge. January promises to be a crucial month for the team, with key decisions that could shape the rest of their season.

I’m a fan of Jack, shame that he’s barely used under Conte. But who knows, he may decide to stick around & prove his worth to Conte.
    Fagioli? Uuugh, very overrated player.
