Napoli’s Predicted Lineup and Formation Against Verona in Serie A

Napoli takes on in-form Verona in Round 12 of the 2020/21 Serie A season. A victory would guarantee Luciano Spalletti’s side the top spot in the league for at least one more week. This is the predicted line-up and the tactics Spalletti is most likely to use.

Gazzetta dello Sport estimates that manager Luciano Spalletti is likely to operate a number of changes over the tactics used in previous matches in Serie A. First of all, Napoli may start in a 4-3-3 formation. This was the approach used by the Partenopei side to great effect against Legia Warsaw, in their first-leg victory.

Expected line-ups:

Napoli (4-3-3): Ospina, Mario Rui, Juan Jesus, Rrahmani, Di Lorenzo, Zielinski, Fabian Ruiz, Anguissa, Insigne, Politano, Osimhen

Verona (3-4-2-1): Montipo, Casale, Gunter, Dawidowicz, Lazovic, Veloso, Tameze, Faraoni, Barak, Caprari, Simeone

Napoli will be forced to deal with the absence of defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Kevin Malcuit and Kostas Manolas will also not be available for selection.

Verona has been on a great run of form lately. The Gialloblu managed victories against Lazio and Juventus during recent weeks with striker Giovanni Simeone scoring six goals in the two matches.

Napoli takes on Verona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium at 19.00 EET.
