Napoli Captain, Lorenzo Insigne Looks Set to Sign for Toronto FC
Napoli fans will be disheartened by the news that the team’s captain, Lorenzo Insigne, looks set to sign for MLS clubs Toronto FC.
According to reports from Italy, an agreement has been reached between the MLS club team and the Napoli forward. Sport TV channel Sportitalia claims that an official announcement will be made on Saturday.
According to The Canadian Press, the deal looks set to go through and the negotiations are said to be in their “final stages”.
According to reports, Canadian taxes extended the marathon talks. Insigne, who turns 31 in June, is expected to join Toronto in July when his current contract expires.

Insigne made his debut for Italy in 2012, scoring 10 goals in 53 games. Insigne played for the Azzurri’s Euro 2020 win over England. He also represented his country at the 2014 World Cup, and Euro 2016.
