Luis Hasa’s Transfer to Napoli: What Is Conte Keen on the Lecce Player?

The 20-year-old midfielder Luis Hasa looks likely to transfer from Lecce to Napoli. While the youngster doesn’t have a lot of experience at the top level yet, Antonio Conte may be keen to mold him into a player capable of helping Napoli’s season.

Sports writer Matteo Moretto revealed today that Hasa’s transfer to Napoli looks imminent. The journalist reveals that the transfer fee paid to Lecce will be of around €500k.

Yesterday, Pantaleo Corvino, technical director for Lecce, also revealed that one of the team’s youngsters had received an offer from a top Serie A side. It was believed that the deal would go ahead as part of a trade involving players Rafa Marin and Zerbin. It now looks like Napoli will just go ahead and pay for the Hasa‘s fee.

There are reasons for Napoli fans to get excited. While Hasa hasn’t yet made his Serie A debut, he did start one Coppa Italia match for Lecce.

Hasa was born in Lazio, Italy from an Albanian family. At 20 years of age, the young midfielder was chosen as the player of the tournament for the 2023 UEFA European U19 Championship. During that tournament, Italy won the gold medal with Hasa providing the assist for the key goal in the final.

Hasa’s development began at Juventus’ youth academy before being signed by Lecce in 2024. It looks like the mid-table Serie A club has secured a good deal financially.

While Luis Hasa must develop his potential, he is on a trajectory to do important things. Hasa’s international career has seen him play at every level for the youth Italian national team.

It’s unlikely that Antonio Conte will be using Hasa too quickly after his transfer. However, the manager relies on a number of young players this season, and Hasa may be Matteo Politano’s future backup.
