Lozano Could Be Out for a Whole Month. Bad News for Ospina as Well

Napoli’s injury concerns seem never-ending with Hirving Lozano and David Ospina, the latest to report serious medical concerns.

The victory against Juventus in the last week of Serie A came at a price for two of Gli Azzurri’s most important players. Today we are likely to be offered a medical verdict on the cases of Lozano and Ospina.

Lozano sustained a muscular injury in the final stages of the match against the Serie A champions. Early estimations are not encouraging. The Mexican is likely to miss a whole month of football if the initial diagnosis is confirmed. It looks nearly certain that the player will miss the following Europa league match against Granada, as well as the Sunday Serie A derby against Atalanta.

Colombian keeper, David Ospina, who also sustained a muscular injury in the game against Granada will likely be out for the upcoming two weeks. He is most likely to be absent from both legs in Europa League against Granada, as well as the matches against Atalanta, Benevento, and Sassuolo in Serie A.

It has proven a challenging season for manager Gennaro Gattuso with some of the team’s best players, Dries Mertens, Victor Osimhen, or Kalidou Koulibaly, sustaining injuries throughout the campaign.
