Gigi Donnarumma Cannot Hide Anger After Milan’s Defeat to Napoli
AC Milan and Italy goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, could not hide his unhappiness with his team’s defeat to Napoli in the last week of Serie A.
Napoli earned an important victory on Sunday for both morale and better placement in the Serie A standings. Matteo Politano’s 49th minute goal was enough to secure an important vicory for Gli Azzurri against rivals AC Milan.
Tensions ran high throughout the match, and especially after it. Gianluigi Donnarumma, one of Milan’s most important players, was also among the most vocal, angrily calling out some of Napoli’s executives.
“You are a gang!”, Donnarumma could be heard shouting immediately after the game, reports Il Mattino. The keeper was so angry at the club official that Lorenzo Insigne, Napoli’s captain and a teammate of the goalkeeper within Squadra Azzura, was forced to intervene in order to calm the player down.
Despite all of this, Insigne and Donnarumma were anxious to put any rumors of strife to rest and took a selfie after the match that was posted on the latter’s Instagram account.
