It was previously reported by many news outlets that the new deal was merely a formality. Now, rumors suggest that Aurelio De Laurentiis may have been in contact with Rafael Benitez. The Spaniard has been without a job since quitting Dalian Professional in the Chinese Super League.
Goal.com reports that Gattuso may need to win his next three games in order to avoid the sack. The manager is, however, unperturbed by this gossip. In a recent press conference, he says he refuses to fear, or hide away from responsibility.
