Dino Zoff and Giovanni Quadri Weigh In on Napoli’s Chances Against Inter
Former greats of Italian football, Dino Zoff, and Giovanni Quadri have expressed their opinion of Napoli’s chances against current Serie A champions Inter Milan.
Former Squadra Azzura captain, Dino Zoff, acknowledges Napoli and AC Milan’s advantage at the moment in the chase for the Scudetto. Napoli and Milan are leading the Serie A table after 12 games.
Zoff also sees Inter as possible contenders for the Serie A crown when speaking to Rai Radio. “After that there is Inter in full competition, I think the Scudetto is the trio’s business. Juventus, on the other hand, can manage to fit into the top four. They have the qualities.”
The former goalkeeper believes that AS Roma and Lazio’s performances have to be judged in light of the current changes undergone by both clubs. The enthusiasm expressed by the Giallorossi initially after Jose Mourinho’s appointment may have been exaggerated, believes Zoff.
Giovanni Quadri, the former striker for FC Torino, also believes that Napoli will be up to the task against Inter for their game on Sunday. There are currently seven points between the Partenopei and the Nerazzurri. A loss by Inter could put an end to the team’s title ambitions.
Quadri, speaking to CarinaTV, when asked for a prognosis, says that he believes a draw could be most likely. “I expect a 2-2 final scoreline – a match full of goals and emotions, between two very strong teams. Napoli have every chance of leaving San Siro with a positive result,” Qaudri says.
