Napoli may be without a player in the vital Europa League match against Leicester City on Thursday night.
This week, Leicester will travel to Italy knowing that a win will place them at the top in Group C and make them eligible for the Europa League’s final 16 teams.
Napoli has been suffering from an injury crisis ahead of the game that doesn’t seem likely to disappear soon.
It has already been confirmed that the Italian giants will be without striker Victor Osimhen or center-back Kalidou Koulibaly due to long-term injuries.
Three other players were also absent from the weekend’s Serie A defeat to Atalanta. Frank Anguissa, Lorenzo Insigne, and Fabian Ruiz all sat out the game. They will be evaluated prior to the match against Leicester.
Konstantinos Manolas, center-back, has missed two Serie A matches due to a stomach problem. He is currently training alone.
Napoli’s 3-2 loss against Atlanta brought another injury concern to their team. Stanislav Lobotka, a Napoli midfielder, was forced to leave the pitch with a hamstring injury.
