Adnan Januzaj Could Arrive in Naples on a Free Transfer
According to Italian media, Adnan Januzaj is viewed as a successor to Lorenzo Insigne at Napoli. What’s more, the transfer could prove an excellent piece of business.
Corriero dello Sport believes that Adnan Januzaj could become Lorenzo Insigne’s heir at Napoli. Rumors about the Neapolitan club’s interest in the talented Belgian footballer are growing. The Belgian is considered one of the best emerging talents in European football.
Left-footed, Januzaj occupies the role of attacking midfielder for Real Sociedad. If necessary, he can also play as a winger or second striker. His versatility could prove a great asset to Napoli, a team that’s struggled with issues of squad depth. Januzaj has often been compared to Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo. Similar to the Portuguese, Januzaj has a history of playing for Manchester United.
In June, it is likely that the Belgian player could be released at no cost. Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport reports the following: “As they say in such cases, before reaching an agreement there will be a need for a long series of contacts. Napoli’s representatives have introduced themselves. They have begun a dialogue with the player’s management.”
It is expected that a deal could take months to be agreed upon by both parties. What seems likely is the interest shown by both the player and Napoli.
Adnan Januzaj has played 21 La Liga matches for Real Sociedad this season. With his help, Sociedad has become one of the strongest teams in La Liga. The player started his career with Manchester United. According to several reports, the Belgian received special attention from the legendary Ryan Giggs, one of United’s greatest attacking midfielders. Considering his pedigree and the form displayed in recent years, Napoli wold be making an excellent addition to their squad.
